Mr. Jonn Kenneth Laurene (Jolo) A. Gonzales is the Founding Legal Counsel of J Gonzales Law Office, specializing in litigation and dispute resolution. He has extensive experience in criminal, commercial, and civil litigation, with a particular focus on complex matters involving telecommunications, construction, and energy. His practice encompasses a broad range of contentious legal matters, providing clients with strategic and effective representation from dispute resolution through litigation.

Before establishing the Firm, he worked as a Senior Lawyer at the Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz Law Offices (ACCRALAW), where he was part of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

He has also appeared as counsel before various trial and appellate courts, quasi-judicial bodies, prosecutorial offices, regulatory boards, and arbitration tribunals. He is experienced in handling high stakes and significant transactions, where he:

• Represented clients in significant and high-profile matters involving public officials, including disputes and investigations concerning major public infrastructure and government-funded projects;
• Represented clients in proceedings for the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in the Philippines;
• Represented international data communications organizations in applications for Value Added Services Registration with the National Telecommunications Commission;
• Assisted in negotiating and drafting major agreements between local and international entities addressing conflicts of laws issues;
• Acted as lead counsel in the prosecution and defense of white-collar crimes and high-profile cases;
• Represented clients in a highly contested probate proceeding involving the estate of one of the wealthiest business magnates in the Philippines;
• Represented clients in arbitration proceedings involving construction disputes before the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission and regular courts;
• Assisted in resolving complex issues regarding a contested lease agreement of government lands involving a multinational petroleum company;
• Acted as counsel involving interim measures of protection involving construction disputes; and
• Represented generation companies and distribution utilities in relation to pertinent applications and registrations before the Energy Regulatory Commission.

Mr. Gonzales is a faculty member of San Beda College Alabang – School of Law, where he teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Civil Procedure.

A licensed Electronics Engineer, Mr.  Gonzales brings a distinctive combination of legal and technical expertise to complex construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, and other technical disputes. His engineering background enables him to understand highly technical matters and develop practical, legally sound solutions for clients in technology- and infrastructure-intensive industries.

He graduated as Salutatorian of his class in 2017 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2018. He is a member of the Makati City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
