Mr. Gonzales is the Founding Legal Counsel of J Gonzales Law Office. He specializes in litigation and dispute resolution. He handles all areas of criminal, commercial, and civil litigation, with extensive experience in the areas of telecommunication, construction, and energy.

Before establishing the Law Office, Mr. Gonzales worked as a Senior Lawyer at the Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz Law Offices (ACCRALAW) where he was part of ACCRALAW’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

Mr. Gonzales has appeared as counsel before various trial and appellate courts, quasi-judicial bodies, prosecutorial offices, regulatory boards, and arbitration tribunals. He is experienced in handling high stakes and significant transactions, where he:

• Represented international data communications organizations in applications for Value Added Services Registration with the National Telecommunications Commission
• Assisted in negotiating and drafting major agreements between local and international entities addressing conflicts of laws issues
• Acted as lead counsel in the prosecution and defense of white collar crimes and high-profile cases
• Represented clients in a highly contested probate proceeding involving the estate of one of the wealthiest business magnates in the Philippines
• Represented clients in arbitration proceedings involving construction disputes before the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission and regular courts
• Assisted in resolving complex issues regarding a contested lease agreement of government lands involving a multi-national petroleum company
• Acted as counsel involving interim measures of protection involving construction disputes
• Represented generation companies and distribution utilities in relation to pertinent applications and registrations before the Energy Regulatory Commission

Mr. Gonzales is currently a faculty member at San Beda College Alabang – School of Law where he teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Civil Procedure.

Mr. Gonzales is also a licensed Electronics Engineer. Owing to his technical background, and understanding of the fundamentals of engineering, he is able to assist and provide legal solutions to complex construction and technical disputes. As an Electronics Engineer, Mr. Gonzales likewise fully understands the intricacies of telecommunications and broadcasting engineering being able to provide workable solutions to entities engaged in these businesses.

Mr. Gonzales graduated as Salutatorian of his graduating class in 2017. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2018 and is a member of the Makati City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
