J GONZALES LAW (the Firm) participated in, and was among the sponsors of, the 5th Philippine Construction Arbitration Conference, held on August 11, 2026 at the Fairmont Hotel Ballroom in Makati City.
Organized by the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators (PICAM), the conference, themed “At the Crossroads of Construction Arbitration: Evidence, Ethics and the Rise of AI,” brought together professionals from the legal, engineering, construction, and arbitration sectors to discuss significant developments shaping the field of construction arbitration.
The conference explored emerging issues at the intersection of technology, evidence, and professional responsibility. Discussions examined the growing role of artificial intelligence in arbitration, the effective presentation and assessment of expert and technical evidence, and the ethical considerations that continue to guide arbitrators in the conduct of proceedings.
The event featured Mr. Rogelio L. Singson, former Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), as a Keynote Speaker, alongside distinguished moderators and panelists from various sectors of the construction and dispute resolution sector.
Representing the Firm at the conference were Atty. Gil Christian Q. Savedia and Atty. Franz Danielle F. Dela Cruz, who joined fellow practitioners and industry professionals in engaging with the discussions on the evolving landscape of construction arbitration.
As construction disputes become increasingly complex and technology continues to influence the manner in which evidence is prepared, presented, and evaluated, forums such as the Philippine Construction Arbitration Conference provide an important opportunity for legal and industry practitioners to exchange perspectives and remain abreast of developments in the field. The Firm is honored to have supported PICAM’s efforts to foster meaningful dialogue and continued professional development in construction arbitration.
